Decorative ceramic tiles were used in the latter half of the Victorian era in thousands of houses. Commonly known as Art Nouveau tiles, they were glazed with designed predominantly based on floral motifs and used as decorative elements in homes. This December holidays, join our Creative Tile Painting Workshop to learn the basic techniques of painting on ceramic tiles and explore the colour palette found in the NUS Baba House. Working as a team, parent and child will get to bring home their Peranakan-inspired tile at the end of the workshop!
